Legacy is an overused word these days. I think it truly belongs to those musicians who made music history, through their unique vision and skill, created a sonic experience never heard before. Music that influenced and inspired generations after them. Musicians who dared to take risks and go beyond any known boundaries. That’s how I will remember Keith Emerson: a divine spark of outrageous musical talent, challenging the limits of technology and his skill at any keyboard he chose to play.

I feel deeply sad that he is no longer among us, but grateful to have shared this same time on planet earth. The physical limitations of being human can be too much to bear for those who dare to fly too close to the sun. Goodnight, sweet prince. May your music thunder through the heavens. You shall not be forgotten.
