As I was working on a tribute issue for Greg Lake in Progression Magazine, now comes more sad news - adding a tribute for bassist John Wetton who also played with King Crimson and Asia and many other "prog rock" bands (although not during the same years as Greg). I suppose it's inevitable, as rock heroes will be immortalized through their music, but it's sad to see this incredibly creative revolution of rock music in the 60's and 70's fade into the past.

So in a way, the illustration I did for John was the companion to Greg Lake's, as I knew the layout would feature them side by side, and that dictated the style and composition, as well as the size of each of the musicians - keeping their ages similar as well as the "moon" (which, in both cases, was originally a stagelight ).
